Elim School of Ministry is more than a school; it is an experience that reaches into the local church, the cities and communities found within the Midcoast region of Maine, the state of Maine, our nation and around the world.  Elim School of Ministry offers opportunities for anyone to receive hands-on ministry experience, training from pastors around our City, Region, State, Nation and World, and earn an accredited Bible degree.  Whether you’re a business professional, a college intern, a stay-at-home mom or dad; whether you are younger or older, Elim School of Ministry is designed to equip you and help you fulfill your destiny!

Elim School of Ministry seeks individuals that are willing to go the second mile, passionate about serving, love people, serious about the plans and purposes of God, and looking to partner with the vision of God to reach the world through the local church.  At Elim Community Church, we believe in an excellence of Ministry, and high commitment environments because of the mandate from God we have been given to impact the world for Christ, to bring the healing message of Christ to the lost and hurting.  Thus, Elim School of Ministry requires commitment from Interns/Students, and is looking for individuals who are serious about serving, loving, and carrying the vision of Elim Community Church to be an Oasis for a hurting and lost world.

While Elim School of Ministry is exciting and fun, it is challenging and requires a sacrifice of time. The requirements Interns/Students will find in this catalog are designed to achieve the mission of Elim School of Ministry, to build up Christ-like leaders that have a passion for Christ, and to live a life of integrity. An accountability system is built into Elim School of Ministry to push Interns/Students to higher elevations in their relationship with God, training them to change their world.  Interns/Students are held to a high level of integrity and accountability due to their influence as a leader in the church and community.  See Code of Conduct for these standards.  All of the Elim School of Ministry degree programs run from September to June. It is recommended that Interns/Students commit to at least two years at Elim School of Ministry to receive holistic training.

Elim School of Ministry provides a twenty-four/seven intensive discipleship and ministry training environment that will challenge you to live your whole life for the cause that counts - serving God and building His Kingdom. It’s designed for the committed and willing who desire to love God more deeply and to have a greater impact on the lives of other people.  This option is designed for individuals desiring to pursue full time vocational ministry at some level in the future.

Elim School of Ministry offers several opportunities to help equip Interns/Students for the calling God has on their life - to partner with the core values of Elim Community Church: to reach, serve, give, and build in greater capacities. Interns/Students who have a desire to set aside 10 months to be stretched spiritually, implement spiritual disciplines into their daily life, learn what Jesus style leadership is all about, and build a solid Biblical foundation will find a place to grow closer to Christ in Elim School of Ministry.  Interns/Students fully experience the realities of working at a church full time, and get to be apart of staff meetings and retreats, as well as have high access to staff for training and mentoring.
