BEYOND ELIM
Whichever ministry options an intern or student pursues in Elim School of Ministry, the completion of each year provides the intern/student with an accredited degree or accredited credit hours towards a degree, plus extensive hands-on ministry experience in a
diversity of ministry settings. Whether Interns/Students are moved into a full-time ministry capacity or remain in a secular business vocation, the experience and education they are exposed to in Elim is invaluable. Since each intern applies for Elim School of Ministry for a variety of reasons, the end result benefits differ for each person.
Since 1994, Elim Community Church has had many Interns. Many have come and have gone as Elim has a strong ministry to the Military. But, of the active Interns currently enrolled at Elim, sixteen are serving on church staff. Some of them serve in our Pastor in Training program, some in Ministry Leadership, but all are leading in different capacities within the church life of ECC, and no matter what their role is in the local Church they are all leaving an indelible fingerprint in the lives people of their communities... Interns have opportunities through Elim Community Church to focus on receiving specialized training for full-time vocational ministry, for the purpose of solely gaining Biblical knowledge, or finding their place to serve within the local church.
Besides the established opportunities to navigate the Internship after they finish the School of Ministry, they will have an accredited degree and solid ministry experience which will open the door for them to pursue further collegiate and graduate level education, apply in any ministry environment, and/or to serve equipped in the ministry God has for them in their local church. There are numerous options for the Interns during and after their completion of the School of Ministry. Our staff works side by side with the Interns/Students to discern the next step beyond the completion of their training.
