Welcome to Elim Academy

Admissions Policy:

This school admits students of any race or national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race or national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and other school-administered programs.

Medical Guidelines:

Students are not to have prescription drugs with them while on school property. All prescription medication should be turned into a supervisor or school monitor upon arrival to the school. All over-the-counter drugs should be cleared with a supervisor or school monitor before use.

All prescription medicines will be kept with an individual authorized by the school administrator.

In instances where a student needs medical attention, the principal will call the parent or family doctor (in that order).

Parental Involvement:

Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in their child/children’s academic life. You can do so by encouraging your student to strive to do their best, congratulating them when they have done well, and providing extra help when they are struggling. Parent/Teacher conferences can be arranged and you can discuss with the student’s teacher what specific areas your student is struggling in, and which areas he or she should be commended on for their effort and successes, as well as giving you a first hand look at what your student does on a day to day basis. Getting involved in your students academic life assures your student that they are important to you and that you consider every part of their life to be important.

School Supplies:

Each student should come equipped with the following:

Lined paper
Pencils/pens
Eraser
Calculator (high school students)
Protractor (Geometry)
Bible or devotional book

Attendance:

School is in session Tuesday through Friday from 0800 in the morning until 1500 each evening. School runs for a minimum of 175 days and time off is given for the regular holiday breaks. We consider tardiness to show a lack of respect to the student’s scholastic responsibilities, instructor, and fellow students. As always there is grace given if there are viable extenuating circumstances.

Visitors:

All visitors must be cleared with the office staff. While present they must maintain Elim Academy’s standard of conduct, and should refrain from distracting the students as much as possible.

Financial Responsibilities:

Each student is required to pay a monthly tuition which is due on the first Friday of each month in the school year. There are ten months in a school year. If the student’s tuition payment is late a large charge will accure until the balance it paid.

If the balance is not paid by the end of the school year, the student year will be considered as incomplete until such a time as the bill is paid. If it is not paid by the beginning of the next school year, the student will have to repeat his or her grade.

All monies paid to Elim Academy for tuition should be sent to:
