Graduation Requirements:

In order to graduate, each student must have the following:

English:
   Grammar and Composition:
            Grammar and Composition III
            Grammar and Composition IV
            Grammar and Composition V
            Grammar and Composition VI

   Vocabulary, Spelling, Poetry:
            Vocabulary, Spelling, Poetry III
            Vocabulary, Spelling, Poetry IV
            Vocabulary, Spelling V
            Vocabulary VI

   Literature:
            People’s Literature
            World Literature
            American Literature
            English Literature

Or have records of the student having taken a course equivalent at one of the following: public, private, or home school.

Mathematics:

All students must take 4 of the following courses in order to graduate.
            Algebra I (required)
            Plane Geometry (required)
            Algebra II
            Business Math
            Consumer Math
            Trigonometry
            Statistics
            Calculus

Or have records of the student having taken a course equivalent at one of the following: public, private, or home school.

Science:

All students must take 3 of the following courses in order to graduate.

            Science of Physical Creation
Biology
            Chemistry
            Physics
            Anatomy and Physiology

Or have records of the student having taken a course equivalent at one of the following: public, private, or home school.

Social Studies:

            World History
            American History
            Geography
            American Government
            Economics

Or have records of the student having taken a course equivalent at one of the following: public, private, or home school.

Physical Education:

Each student will do individual PE time which will be given a pass or fail grade.

Each student is required to take Health before graduation.

Or have records of the student having taken a course equivalent at one of the following: public, private, or home school.

Foreign Language:

Each student has opportunity to learn these languages with the School Administrator. For all students wanting to continue their education at a college or university it is recommended that they take at least two years of a foreign language.

Experience-based credits:

Each student has the opportunity to apply for credits based on experience. If your student has extracurricular activities please inform the School Administrator to see if your student’s experience could be counted for credit toward his or her grade.

Community Involvement:

Each student must have a total of two hours per week, or eight hours per month of community service. This promotes community involvement as well as developing an attitude of service toward others, as Jesus said, “whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” (Mark 10:43)

Field Trips:

Field trips are scheduled throughout the year.

Holistic Days:

Each student is allotted one holistic day (one day free of school where the work does not have to be made up) per quarter. If a student wishes to take their holistic day, they must inform a school official in advance. If a student is behind in their school, has had many absences/tardies, or is a disciplinary difficulty, the school staff has the right to take away his/her holistic day for one or all quarters.

 Grading System:

A= 94-100
B= 87-93
C= 80-86
D= 73-79
F= 72 and below
INC= incomplete
